Mysterious bullet hole found in plane
Investigators are looking into a bullet hole on a grounded US Air plane in Charlotte, NC. A pilot found the hole while making a pre-flight inspection.
FBI agents were interviewing ground crew members at both ends of the plane’s flight fromPhiladelphia to Charlotte. Agents also have interviewed passengers.
The location of the hole was found above a window toward the rear of the Boeing 737. That suggests that a bullet came in from above, not from below, said one security official.
Officials are also trying to find out whether the bullet was fired while the 144-passenger plane was on the ground.
Officials said there is no evidence so far that there was any intent to target the plane.
