Nashville hotel market tops in US
Nashville tops the country in percentage growth in occupancy, says Smith Travel Research.
Through September, Nashville area hotels have filled 6% more rooms than in 2005, which is double the average growth rate of the past three years.
Local average daily rates are up 7.6% while revenue per available room has soared 14%, according to Smith.
Nashville has 150 hotels with 33,000 rooms.
Growth is continuing with the room supply scheduled to add another 8% by 2009.
