National consortium announces ‘Preferred Vendor of the Year’

National consortium e-Travco/Austin Coast has named Runaway Tours as the first recipient of their “Preferred Vendor of the Year” for 2004.

Said Mike Caplin, Vice President of e-Travco/Austin Coast’s Western Division:

“Runaway’s products are first class, customer service is top flight and the company is dedicated to selling exclusively to travel agents, which is a very big commitment to the industry.”

Founded in 1969, Runaway is a premier FIT wholesaler to destinations that include Hawaii and Mexico.

Founded in 2000 by Brent Pasquinelli, e-Travco provides solutions for travel agents.

Among its products is e-Travco Online, which the company says is the industry’s only comprehensive community-based marketing system that enables travel professionals to create an online presence; provide assisted and self-service booking options; automatically send targeted, personalized e-mail messages to customers; and generate new sales leads.

The company plans to launch its host-agency service, e-Travco Office, within the next few weeks.
