NCL launches biggest ever UK brand campaign
Norwegian Cruise Line has launched its biggest ever brand campaign in the UK in a major show of confidence in the UK market.
Its ‘Break Free’ adverts will be shown across 38 channels, including Channel 4, ITV, Chanel 5 and a range of Sky channels.
Set to the Queen soundtrack ‘I want to break free’, it will appear initially from 6 February to 7 March and again during separate intervals throughout the year.
It will be complemented by Video on Demand advertising on Sky Go and print and digital media ads.
NCL Vice President & Managing Director in the UK, Ireland, Middle East and Africa, Eamonn Ferrin said the cruise line ‘has always had a fighting spirit’.
"Our team has been using this pause to prepare for our comeback, and the creative minds and incredible talent we have in-house truly delivered," he added.
"The NCL team has developed a campaign that calls to the traveller in each of us and our collective desire to feel free again."
Karen Sequeira, Marketing Director of UK&I, Middle East and Africa said this is the first time NCL will undertake a national TV campaign of this scale.
"Investment at this level is testament to a burgeoning interest in cruise in the UK and the country’s position as our number one international market. We’ve seen growing demand from the British public, and we are keen to invest in further strengthening our brand awareness in the region. We hope ‘Break Free’ inspires excitement and wanderlust."
NCL recently launched new itineraries into winter 2023 and announced it will deploy more ships in Europe.
Norwegian Dawn is due to sail in Europe for the first time this year, while the recently refurbished Norwegian Spirit will also operate Mediterranean itineraries. Also, Norwegian Escape will be the first Breakaway Plus class ship coming to Europe, also in 2021.
