Just over a quarter of British holidaymakers plan to spend more money on their trips in 2014 than they did in 2013, according to a survey by Skyscanner.

But slightly more Brits said they would be cutting back.

The poll asked 1,000 UK travellers about their holiday plans for 2014 and how they plan to manage the budget.

It found:

27% anticipate spending more on their holidays during 2014 than they did last year

30% plan to cut back

41% intend on taking more than one holiday next year

20% plan to jet off at least three times

36% said they would find a way to get away, no matter what

74% said they would consider travelling to non-Euro destinations during 2014 in order to save money

80% are willing to give up other luxuries in order to enjoy their trips abroad.

The survey was conducted by OnePoll on 18 December 2013.
