New ABTA chief to address convention
ABTA’s new chief executive is to address the industry for the first time at the association’s annual convention in Marrakech in November.
Mark Tanzer, who replaced Ian Reynolds earlier this month, will be interviewed by moderator Nick Ross at the start of the second day of business sessions.
Delegates will also have the chance to ask questions later that day at a Talkback session.
Meanwhile, ABTA says registrations have reached 1,300 for the convention, with more travel agents already registered than attended last year’s event in Florida.
The association also announced that Travelzest boss Chris Mottershead’s Travel Gazing session will also involve Royal Caribbean senior vice-president international and managing director EMEA Susan Hooper and Monarch managing director Tim Jeans, with three other senior travel industry executives to be announced shortly.
