New air service riding high for Mexico

Monday, 03 Aug, 2006 0

Mexico continues to be a hot destination for air carriers with both Alaska and Aeromexico announcing new service.

Alaska Airlines is adding another nonstop flight between the US and Mexico, its fifth nonstop route rolled out in the past month.

Alaska says it will offer nonstop seasonal service between San Francisco and Cancun starting in late October and lasting through April.

Cancun will become the fifth Mexican destination served from San Francisco. The others are Los Cabos, Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlan and Ixtapa/Zihuatanejo.

Aeromexico has started nonstop service four times a week between Los Angeles and Culiacan near Mexico’s Pacific coast. The area is the sixth Mexican city that Aeromexico flies from Los Angeles.
