New airline lands at Gatwick
New airline Cobalt Air has launched a six-day-a-week service from Gatwick to Larnaca.
The Monday-Saturday service is the third from the UK for the airline, which already operates services to Larnaca from Manchester and Stansted.
Cobalt Air launched in July 2016, with its first commercial flight from Larnaca to Athens. Since then it has won the award for Start-up of the Year 2017 from the Centre for Aviation (CAPA).
Cobalt Air currently serves 16 destinations across 10 different countries from its home in Cyprus.
In December Cobalt will launch a new business class service on the Gatwick route, featuring large bespoke business seats in a two-by-two configuration.
Gatwick Airport head of airline relations Stephen King said: "The regular six day a week service is likely to be popular with both holiday travellers and those flying on business, particularly as the airline offers some impressive airfares and an attractive business class service."
Return fares in December start from less than £100 return. In addition, Cobalt has a ‘golf bags fly free’ offer on flights this winter from the UK & Ireland to Cyprus.
