New and old faces at PATA

Former Pacific Asia Travel Association executive Renton de Alwis is to return to the association in a short-term advisory role to offer advice on membership retention, recruitment and chapter development.

De Alwis, a former chairman of the Sri Lanka Tourist Board, was until recently operating as the executive director of Sustainable Development Consultants (Pvt) Ltd.

PATA has named Punam Mohandas as its new director – communications, replacing Dale Lawrence who leaves PATA in mid June.

Mrs Mohandas is a senior journalist with 17-years experience. Her most recent assignment was as editor of Hotelier India magazine.
