New appointment for Breakaway’s de Matteis

SYDNEY – Recruitment specialist TMS Asia-Pacific has named Breakaway Travel Club’s general manager Alessandra de Matteis to replace current general manager Australia/New Zealand, Ainslie Hunt, who is leaving the company at the end of the month for12 months maternity leave.

De Matteis will take responsibility for all aspects of the company’s business on both sides of the Tasman following an official handover on November 2.

TMS Asia Pacific CEO Andrew Chan said, “Alessandra’s activity will include marketing, branding, product development, operations management and new business initiatives

“Her role will also include the further establishment of the TMS ‘Academy’ concept launched in Australia last September which is now offering a series of comprehensive, qualification-based executive training programmes focusing on corporate travel, F&B, revenue management and personal development.”

Prior to joining Breakaway Travel Club, de Matteis worked with the Concorde/World Aviation Group for 12 years.
