New appointments for ATIPAC
The CAA has appointed three new members to the Air Travel Insolvency Protection Advisory Committee (ATIPAC).
Helen Knapman from MoneySavingExpert.com, Keith Richards, chair of the CAA Consumer Panel, and Sue Russell from Citizens Advice will join the committee for a period of four years effective from November 1 2014.
ATIPAC was set up in 2000 by the Secretary of State for Transport to provide advice on financial protection for air travellers and the customers of air travel organisers.
ATIPAC chair John Cox said: "It is vital that the committee has the widest understanding of the travel market and the needs of consumers so it can continue to provide appropriate and timely advice to Government.
"These new appointments will all bring different, but relevant experiences to our discussions and in particular all have a sharp focus on the consumer experience and expectations."
