New Asian hotel collection looks to work with the UK trade
Secret Retreats, a new collection of 33 luxury boutique hotels in Asia, is looking to forge close links with the travel trade.
Its website, www.secret-retreats.com, is still under development and has a special login area for agencies and tour operators, allowing them to book online.
A spokeswoman for the group said the travel trade is the main target of the new collection, put together by three expats based in Malaysia and Singapore.
Frenchmen Bruno Ferret, executive director, and MD St-©phane Junca, and Italian born Frederico Asaro, executive director, joined forces a year ago in order to create the collection of hand-picked hotels.
Junca said: "We spotted a gap in the market for independently owned luxury hotels in Asia and wanted to form a collection of hand-picked properties owned by passionate individuals, arts and antiques aficionados, and lovers of fine foods."
