New boss for Bmibaby
The bmi group has made an internal appointment to replace Tony Davis as managing director of budget arm bmibaby.
The low cost airline’s commercial director David Bryon steps up to succeed Mr Davis, who left last year.
Mr Bryon joined the bmi group in 2000 to develop its internet strategy and was part of the management team that formed bmibaby in 2002. The airline now carries more than three million passengers a year and claims to be the second largest low cost airline in the UK.
Bmi group chief executive Nigel Turner said the appiontment was made after a “comprehensive external search of the market place”.
