New chair for river cruising
A new chairman of the Passenger Shipping Association’s River section has been appointed as British passengers on European river cruises increased by 7% last year.
Daniela Wagner, chief executive of eWaterways, who is the new chair, said 12 new river ships were introduced this year.
She said: "I am delighted to take over the chair at a time when interest in river cruising has never been stronger.
Daniela, who succeeds Gary Bartelings, of APT Cruise Lines, is the co-founder of eWaterways, the one-stop shop for river and small ship cruising worldwide.
The PSA has ten river cruise members with the most recent additions being Scenic Tours, Tauck and The River Cruise Line.
