New commission service for Baymont
Pegasus is now processing commissions for all travel agent bookings made at Baymont Inns & Suites.
That marks the first time that Baymont hotels have used consolidated commission processing services, “reinforcing La Quinta’s commitment to the timely payment of commissions to travel agents,” according to the company.
With La Quinta’s recent purchase of 177 Baymont-branded properties, more than 550 hotels in the La Quinta family now use Pegasus’ commission processing services.
The Dallas-based Pegasus service handles the centralized processing and consolidated payment of commissions to Pegasus member travel agencies.
In addition to Baymont, seven Woodfield Suites and one Budgetel hotel acquired in the Baymont deal are also using Pegasus.
Using checkout data from its hotel members, Pegasus consolidates monthly guest-stay information related to bookings made by travel agencies. The service reduces manual staff work to make payments.
Pegasus says eight of the world’s top ten hotel companies participate in its commission services.
