New comparison website launches for independent agents

Saturday, 10 Jan, 2011 0

Another new holiday comparison website launches today, claiming to offer consumers the best deals on packages available from independent agents.

So far 50 agents have signed up to kazootravel.co.uk and the site claims a further 25 will be added today when the website goes live. It aims to have more than 200 agents offering their services on the site by March.

Holidaymakers outline their holiday requirements online and agents then put forward their best suggestions.

Director Gordon Holt, who has a background in graphic design and software development, said that unlike other comparison websites, kazootravel will give agents a chance to negotiate with the vendor to clinch the sale, just as if they were face to face.

"This revolutionary method of shopping for a holiday will significantly benefit the holidaymaker and level the playing field for the traditional high street travel agent," added Holt.

Holt and business partner Jerrod Wetherill run eight-year-old software company EvolutionDB.
