New Courtyard adds small meeting space in Times Square

Wednesday, 04 Jun, 2013 0

Marriott’s new Courtyard New York Manhattan/Times Square West opened on Friday with a lobby designed in part to facilitate pop-up meetings.

The 27-story hotel, at 307 West 37th Street, also features an outdoor atrium with seating for 18 and 750 square feet of meeting space, to accommodate functions of up to 40 people.

For overnight guests, the 224-room Courtyard offers plush bedding, spacious bathrooms, a separate seating area, and complimentary in-room high-speed Internet.

The traditional front desk is replaced with separate welcome pedestals to create more personal interactions when guests check in and allow staff to show guests the lobby features.

The lobby has a communal table in the middle of the action as well as a semi-enclosed lounge area.

There’s also a Bistro offering snacks, cocktails, wine, beer, and freshly brewed Starbucks coffee, as well as "healthier options" for breakfast.

Complimentary Wi-Fi and ample electrical outlets in the lobby enable online access, and there is a business library with several computers.
