Creative Holidays and the Hong Kong Tourism Board have announced the launch of a brand new targeted travel guide, designed and written exclusively for family travel, with the new Family Fun in Hong Kong guide containing all your clients need to know on family travel in Hong Kong.

As one of Asia’s most exciting cities, Hong Kong is full of surprises for families, from major events and festivals to awesome attractions and must-see sights.

The city is a fun-filled destination for your next family holiday – and this guide will make sure travellers have the inside track on what’s on, where and when.

The Family Fun in Hong Kong guide has been carefully compiled to include: an Events Calendar, 15 Must Do activities for families, an Out ‘n’ About section which highlights experiences beyond the city that will appeal to everyone from tots to teens, Shopping – a must-do while in Hong Kong, information on the secrets of the country in the Local Culture and History chapter, Accommodation, Dining, Transport, Tours and Itineraries, Indulgence, which is one for the parents, Getting There/Away and Maps and Fast Facts.

Andrew Yell, general manager, Creative Holidays said, “It is fantastic to be involved in such a great project. Hong Kong is perfect for families. We have really seen interest in holidays to Hong Kong grow significantly in the last 12 months, particularly within the family market. This can be attributed to a number of things including the opening of Hong Kong Disneyland.

“Hong Kong is also relatively close to home, which makes it an easy holiday choice for Australians and with increased air capacity access has never been easier. Plus, once you are there, there is so much to do – there really is something for the whole family. Getting around is uncomplicated, it is a great learning experience thanks to the Chinese culture and heritage, the food is divine and there are plenty of escapes to keep the parents satisfied too, whether it’s a massage, a little retail therapy or a few drinks in one of the city’s amazing bars.

Andrew Clark, regional director, Hong Kong Tourism Board said, “This guide is a comprehensive tool showing you how to keep the kids amused and treat mum and dad to an enticing holiday!

“Must do’s on your holiday itinerary should include a ride on the Peak Tram to see the stunning views of Hong Kong from the 360º viewing platform perched on top of the Peak Tower and a trip across Victoria Harbour, one of the world’s busiest harbours, on the iconic Star Ferry.  Other family favourites include a visit to the newest member of the Disney family, Hong Kong Disneyland, where Mickey Mouse and his friends will welcome you to their magical kingdom.  Plus a visit to Hong Kong’s original theme/aquatic park, Ocean Park, home to giant pandas, a marine world and turbo-charged rides and the exciting new cable car, Ngong Ping 360 on Lantau Island, which offers spectacular views of the island as you ascend to the Giant Buddha.”

Hong Kong is a city that offers exciting activities for families every day and is the perfect destination to experience Chinese culture and heritage, indulge in shopping and dining and explore the countryside and outlying islands.  The Family Fun in Hong Kong guide is designed to be a comprehensive reference tool to help families make the most of their time in Hong Kong and its surrounds.
