New e-Pass to help drivers avoid Sydney stress

Drivers of rental vehicles in Sydney now have a simpler option of paying their way through the city’s eight road tolls.

A new tolling account released by Roam Express and Hertz Australia removes some of the stress of negotiating the tolls in a rental vehicle.

The new Roam Express Rental e-PASS allows motorists to pre-register their details for automatic toll payment on any of Sydney’s toll roads.

Roam Express operations manager, Danielle Griffin, said, “A Rental e-PASS is the quickest and easiest way for rental vehicle customers to pay their toll. There is no need to worry about having the right change in a vehicle or arranging your own e-PASS.

“The choice is entirely with the customer. They can pay their toll via a Rental e-PASS, selected at the time of rental, bring their own e-TAG, or pay cash.”

Once the Rental e-PASS has been activated by toll road travel, a one-off start-up fee of $2.75 is applied by Roam Express, after which tolls and a $0.75 per trip video matching fee is charged by Roam Express direct to the customer’s nominated credit card.
