New ‘Green’ travel site
The Caribbean Alliance for Sustainable Tourism has launched a new page on its Web site that lists properties earning a Green Globe 21 certificate or benchmark.
The award is given to properties demonstrating high standards in terms of environmental management and conservation, according to the agency.
The list is broken down by country. It features a link to each property’s Web site for more information. Examples of best practices are also available.
As of this month, there were 67 Green Globe 21 properties. That represents an increase of 35% over last year.
