Plymouth
to Guernsey flights are to be started by West Country carrier Air Southwest.

The flights, which will cost from £39 one-way including taxes and charges, start on April 8 and will run on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.

Air Southwest has operated flights from Plymouth to Jersey for five years.

The airline’s deputy chief executive Mike Coombes said: “This new service increases the number of destinations on offer from Plymouth City Airport to 11 and we hope that it will make a significant contribution to the island’s economy.

“We’re also aware of a number of students from Guernsey studying at the University of Plymouth, so we hope that we will become their airline of choice.”
