New high-end hotel for Dominican Republic
A new high-end Westin property in the Dominican Republic is in the pipeline and it won’t be all-inclusive.
Grupo Puntacana and Starwood Hotels and Resorts have forged a partnership that will see the development of a five star hotel in the Playa Blanca area, minutes from Punta Cana airport.
In addition to the hotel’s facilities, customers will also have access to the Puntacana Resort & Club which includes three miles of private beaches, golf course, 1,500 acres ecological reserve and equestrian centre.
"We are excited to be financing the construction of The Westin Puntacana Resort & Club," said Frank Rainieri, president & CEO of Grupo Puntacana.
"Our investment reflects our confidence in the continued international demand for exceptional travel experiences in the Dominican Republic."
