Park Inn will open a new mid-market hotel close to London’s Wembley Stadium in time for the start of the 2012 Olympic Games.

The new 235-room hotel will be 6kms from central London on Olympic Way, the pedestrian zone leading to the main entrance of Wembley Stadium which will host football matches during the tournament.

Owned by the Rezidor Hotel Group, there are now 29 Park Inn hotels in operation or under development in the UK. Rezidor president and CEO Kurt Ritter said: “Park Inn is one of our  core brands and is currently being refreshed – we are currently promoting Park Inn’s new look and feel with a huge marketing campaign across the UK. The signing of Park Inn London Wembley comes at a perfect time and will further strengthen our brand awareness in the capital city and the country."
