New Jamaica tourism boss in UK
The Jamaica Tourist Board has recruited Elizabeth Fox as UK/Europe regional director.
She previously worked as international sales director for Hello Florida, the US state’s largest destination management company, and was responsible for establishing its international division.
Ms Fox, who will be based in London, replaces David Barber who left last October to join all-inclusive resort company Sandals.
She also has experience working for Palm Beach County Convention and Visitors Bureau, Universal Studios Florida and St Andrews Old Course and Golf Club in Scotland.
JTB tourism director Paul Penicook said Ms Fox’s appointment came at a significant time as the tourist board approches its 50th anniversary “and is strengthening its efforts on growing our business out of the UK and Europe”.
