Group Mexicana de Aviacion is starting Mexico’s first low-cost airline, which it says will “revolutionize” air travel there.

The new airline called is called Click.

Mexicana will operate 10 Fokker airplanes with 200 seats. With 35 inches of space between rows, the airline will be one of the most comfortable in the industry.

“The name Click is the result of a study carried out by Landor, a renowned worldwide firm specializing in branding-brand positioning,” said the new airline in a news release.

The service will offer flights to some cities already served by Mexicana de Aviacion with the same frequency.

Said Isaac Volin, CEO of Click:

“We are very pleased to present a new low cost airline concept, unprecedented in our country, which will offer accessible and competitive rates to a greater number of clients.”

Initially, it will operate nine routes, starting this summer.

The airline will offer competitive prices and such amenities as self-service kiosks.
