New manager for escorted tours specialist
The UK Holiday Group has appointed Andrew Rix as product development manager.
He will contract tours for Grand UK Holidays, which specialises in the over-55s market, as well as developing existing and new programmes.
Rix began his career in travel working for Norwich-based Grand UK Holidays.
But most recently he worked as product manager Europe and Ireland for Caledonian Travel in Leeds, which evolved into National Holidays, based in Hull.
In this new role with Grand UK, he will work closely with Neal Fletcher, operations director for the escorted tours specialist.
Sales director Harold Burke said: “Andrew joins at an exciting time for our group – we had a record number of 90,000 passengers last year and we have many developments in 2008 to help us reach yet another record this year.â€
The UK Holiday Group operates escorted holidays and coach tours, cruises, self-drive tours and holidays by air throughout Britain, Europe and beyond.
