New marketing chief for AirMiles Travel Co.
Ex-Telewest Broadband head of consumer marketing and brand Sarah Wood is joining the AirMiles Travel Company as marketing director.
Prior to Telewest Broadband, she worked at Procter & Gamble in a variety of senior marketing roles responsible for healthcare brands such as Vicks and Crest.
Reporting to AirMiles managing director Chris Jansen, Ms Wood, who joins on May 9, will be responsible for advertising, direct mail and all online activity relating toAirMiles’ six million customers.
Her priority is to maximise the potential of the existing customer database and to develop “new and exciting propositions” for AirMiles’ partners, according to the company.
Mr Jansen said: “This is a key role and will ensure a solid foundation from which we grow the company. Sarah has an impressive track record developing and implementing marketing strategies for some of the UK’s leading blue-chip companies.
“We have done some great work over recent months tracking and analysing our customers behaviour and attitudes. With this work now complete the time is right for us to actively drive the brand to its next stage.”
