New marketing role created at ETOA
Martine Ainsworth-Wells has been appointed to the newly-created position of director of marketing and commerce for the European Tour Operators Association (ETOA).
She will be responsible for the strategic management of all commercial, marketing, communications and brand activities, reporting directly to CEO Tom Jenkins.
Ainsworth-Wells was previously marketing and communications director of the Mayor of London’s promotional agency, London & Partners (formerly Visit London).
Since the end of the Olympic and Paralympic Games she has been running her own consultancy, Ainsworth & Wells.
Her clients have included Visit Scotland, Visit Wales, the British and Irish Governments, Liverpool Vision, Radisson Blu Edwardian London, Africa, South Africa and Wagamama.
"I have watched the relevance of ETOA and its commercial reach increase dramatically over the last 10 years," she said.
"This is now a most interesting time: there are imminent changes to EU regulations, the reduction in public sector tourism spending and the emergence of new markets. I look forward to helping ETOA’s commercial division enable its policy work to grow."
