New MD for 118 Cruise
Robin Glover has joined cruise operator 118 Cruise as its new managing director.
Glover was previously a sales manager at Norwegian Cruise lines and before that spent three years as a sales executive at NCL.
At 118 Cruise he will be responsible for UK and European expansion.
According to the operator’s founder, Charles Clark, the company is already expanding at the rate of over 200% a year.
"User reviews, the explosion of tablet technology and dynamic packaging tools are shifting the cruise retail market away from dinosaur retailers who believe marketing is just about milking a cruise database until its members dies," said Clark.
"118 Cruise has achieved massive growth already, but this appointment will allow us to take it to the next level."
Glover added: "I intend to hit the ground running and have already identified two or three promotional opportunities where we could really add value so cruise lines should to be surprised to be getting lots of visits over the next few months."
