New member for GTMC
Baxter Hoare has joined the Guild of Travel Management Companies, the fifth travel management company to join the organisation this year.
The company recently became independent again after it was purchased from Bath Travel by well-known industry figure Adam White.
The London Bridge-based has been in operation since 1883.
In a previous position, White had been very engaged in GTMC activities and had held a position on the Executive Committee.
GTMC chief executive Anne Godfrey said she was delighted to be working with the company’s managing director Adam White again.
“We announced our membership drive in February and I am very encouraged with the response,†she said.
“ To have five new members in such a short time, in an industry still in recovery from the financial restraints of the last few years and at a time of consolidation within the industry, absolutely demonstrates the regard the organisation has in the industry. Members are reporting return on investment and that’s crucial in this climate.â€
White said: “We have ambitious growth plans for Baxter Hoare and I foresee that we will increasingly benefit from the industry-leading working parties and briefings operated by the GTMC.”
Other new members this year are Amersham based Giles Travel, South African owned Wings Corporate Travel, TD Travel Group with its four north of England locations, and London and Berkshire based Scholefield Turnbull & Partners PLC.
