New Orleans baggage handler killed in airport accident
Tragedy struck at the Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport after a baggage handler was killed in a freak accident.
Jermani Thompson, 26 got her hair tangled in machinery as she offloaded baggage from a Frontier Airlines flight.
The local coroner’s office confirmed she died after her hair became trapped in one of the belt loaders.
She was taken to hospital, but was later pronounced dead.
She was a supervisor for GAT Airline Ground Support.
