New Orleans joins Brighton Pride
The Big Easy is coming to Brighton.
New Orleans is named the Premier Destination Sponsor at Brighton & Hove Pride for 2023.
DMO New Orleans & Company will be bringing a New Orleans flavour to the annual Pride Community parade, on Saturday 5 August.
It includes a float taking to the streets of Brighton & Hove.
It kicks off Saturday’s festivities and leads the way to the main fundraising event FABULOSO in the Park at Preston Park.
The show is headlined by the Black Eyed Peas.
The following day will see Steps perform their only British show in 2023 as the event finale.
Mark Romig, CMO at New Orleans & Company said: “New Orleans continues to show its commitment to championing freedom and safety.”
“Everything from history to businesses and bars is a testament to the lasting impact our queer community has made.”
Southern Decadence, New Orleans’ largest annual LGBTQ celebration attracts attendees from all over the world for street parties, concerts, club events, a parade, and more.
A melting pot of music, art, history and food, New Orleans is known for its diverse and inclusive population.
Brighton Pride’s ethos similarly promotes tolerance, diversity and education in the community.
