New resort features provide lot of privacy
The adults-only El Dorado Seaside Suites in Riviera Maya and the Petit St. Vincent Resort in the Grenadines are setting new standards for private escapes.
The Petit has just 44 guests sharing 113 miles of tropical acres.
Frills include teak loungers with pullout ledges for drinks or paperbacks and well-stocked rolling bar carts. No jangling telephones or blaring TVs distract from the serenity of a private island in the Grenadines, says owner Haze Richardson.
“What we promise above all is privacy,” he said. “Hoist the red flag on the bamboo pole outside your gate and you won’t see a soul all day — a lot of our guests, in fact, never appear until dinner. Hoist the yellow flag, on the other hand, and guests get room service or hammock or other services.”
All meals and most sporting activities are included in the rates — $940 for two through March 16, then $4,025 for two for seven nights (or $595 a night) through August 11 with the resort’s Summer Package.
The luxury-minded, adults-only El Dorado Seaside Suites in Riviera Maya says it is taking intimacy to a new level with three exclusive Premium Suites set away privately from other areas of the Mexican resort.
“Basically, the Premium Suites were created for couples who are looking for a further degree of intimacy and seclusion on their getaway or honeymoon,” says a spokeswoman for the resort owned by Karisma.
To guarantee privacy, the 500-square-foot Premium Suites were designed as individual one-story units on a separate section of the resort.
The Premium Suites have their own plunge pool so couples can suntan, swim and/or just relax in privacy. They also feature private beach beds located a few feet from the suite.
“Guests never have to worry about reserving a beach bed and you can have a sleepover under the stars,” she said.
The Premium Suites are not only top-of-the-line, but they’re the resort’s only oceanfront suites. The suites also come with additional amenities not featured in the regular suites such as daily fruit baskets and bottles of wine, and personal attention from the concierge team.
Premium Suites rates range from $575-$800 per couple, per night.
