Iceland Express is expanding its 2011 schedule by adding flights to Reykjavik from Edinburgh, Dublin and Belfast.

A twice weekly Edinburgh service launches on June 14 and will run until August 30.

The service will operate every Monday and Friday and flights will start from £101 one-way including taxes.

The Belfast service will go via Edinburgh and the price will also start from £101 one-way including taxes.

Flights to Dublin will launch on June 10 and run until August 29. The weekly service will operate on Tuesdays and flights will start from £98 one-way including taxes.

All flights will connect to Iceland Express’ US routes – New York, Chicago and Boston – and will offer a stopover in Reykjavik at no extra charge.

“We have witnessed increasing numbers of Irish travellers to Reykjavik throughout 2010 and we are pleased to make life a little easier for those passengers by offering a direct route,” said Matthias Imsland, CEO of Iceland Express.

Prices from Dublin to the US will start from £205 one-way including taxes, from Belfast prices will start from £220 and from Edinburgh £205.
