New shopping/comparison search engine
Portals2TheWorld is said to the first travel search engine that offers “complete and unbiased pricing from the widest range of sources,” says Harold L. Stevens, president of the company.
“Portals2TheWorld is the fastest and most comprehensive way to access travel information. We do not accept advertising so consumers will always get the best, unbiased comparison shopping pricing available,” he said.
The new site, in development for the past five years, leverages the three decades of travel and customer service experience starting with the Stevens Group. That group includes three companies, Stevens Travel Management (a corporate travel company), Insight Data (a software development firm), and Passport Holidays (a leisure travel company).
Mr Stevens says the new search engine has no click-through advertising, but will make money through commissions and by offering products unique to Portals.
The company has formed affiliate alliances with Expedia, Orbitz, Travelocity, Priceline and onetravelcom to offer wide-ranging travel information at one site.
”That means we are not only delivering the opportunity to offer prices, but to also search for travel related information without leaving the site,” Mr Stevens said.
Stevens Travel Management will not at this time offer the program to their corporate customers, he said.
The new site has resources that instantly access to thousands of hotels, cars, cruises and other travel sources. P2World also provides other necessary travel information such as visa requirements and weather reports, Mr Stevens said.
