New tourism minister appointed in cabinet reshuffle
A former management consultant has been appointed to take over as the new tourism minister in a post-Brexit government.
Helen Whately will replace Rebecca Pow in the latest cabinet reshuffle.
Pow held the job of parliamentary under secretary of state at the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport for just four months. She has now moved to the Department for Environment.
Whately is MP for Faversham and mid Kent. She was previously deputy chair of the Conservative Party and vice chair for women.
