New tours offer variety offer variety of adventures
The new Jedediah Smith Adventure packages are two-, three- and four-night-long back-country tours that combine horseback riding, hiking, mountain biking and kayaking to create custom adventures through Redwood National and State Parks.
“The Redwood National and State Parks offers visitors a scenically diverse experience, including spectacular ocean and valley views, kayaking through ancient forests to the Pacific Ocean and hiking among the world’s tallest trees,” said John Russavage, chairman and CEO of Redwood Parks Lodge Company. He added:
“The Jedediah Smith Adventure tours give local residents and park visitors alike the opportunity to customize their Redwood National and State Parks experience with an experienced Adventure Guide and without the hassles of bringing their own equipment and supplies.”
Tour costs include a 1 or 2-day stay in one of the luxury Elk Meadow cabins, all meals, camping gear, sport equipment, transportation and expert guides.
After choosing the length of stay, participants select several options that include activities of various time frames.
Tour packages prices are $1,000 per person for a two-night adventure tour, $1,400 per person for a three-night adventure and $1,700 per person for the four-night trip. Couple rates are also available.
