New travel social networking site claims 2,000 members

Travel social networking site Doyoutravel.com claims to have attracted 2,000 members since launching to the trade three weeks ago.

The site allows travel organisations and individuals working within the industry to create their own fully editable content which they can create and use free of charge.

Travel staff can create blogs to keep customers up to date with developments through videos, images and text.

Mark Garwell, one of the creators, said: “The website does not have any preferred distribution agreements with third parties so there are not any restrictions on businesses promoting themselves for free on our network and they seem to understand that.

“All the content on Doyoutravel.com is free to create and use therefore represents a very cost effective way of marketing travel businesses directly to a dedicated travel focussed network.

“Everything on the website is fully editable and there are no restrictions on volume of content so businesses can react to trends in the market place.”
