New UK boss for Club Med
Club Med’s Switzerland general manager Benoit Anger is to take over from Chris Woodbridge-Cox as managing director of the company’s UK, Irish and Scandinavian operations.
He takes over next month from Woodbridge-Cox, who moves to Frankfurt as Club Med managing director, Germany, as previously reported by TravelMole.
Anger joined Club Med in 2000 as chief financial officer in Switzerland, before becoming general manager in 2002. He has also been a French foreign trade advisor since 2003.
He said: “There is a growing interest in the UK, Ireland and the Scandinavian markets for a more sophisticated tour operator product and it will be an exciting challenge to further develop these very important markets for the Total All-inclusive Club Med brand.”
