New UK face of German tourism

A new director has joined the London-based office of the German National Tourist Office.

Klaus Lohmann joins with a background in cruise holidays, including spells with Peter Deilmann and Transocean Tours in sales and for German tour operator Studiosus.

He said: “Originally from Northern Germany and with a maritime family background, coming to the UK with its great seafaring tradition is not just a professionally but also personally very significant move for me.

“I’m therefore delighted to join the German National Tourist Office UK & Ireland and look forward to working with the British and Irish travel industry and press.

“In spite of the challenging current market situation, I’m confident that the GNTO team will continue to position Germany as an attractive destination for UK and Irish travellers, offering excellent value for money.”
