New York airport hotel opens after major renovation
The 330-key Crowne Plaza JFK Airport has been officially unveiled after a multi-million dollar renovation and rebranding.
The hotel, managed by Gemini Hospitality, is the seventh Crowne Plaza hotel in the New York area and had undergone a major refurbishment program with new interiors for guest rooms and meeting space.
The hotel is the only JFK-area property to house a presidential suite and features 5,000 square feet of meeting space including 10 meeting rooms and a ballroom.
Hotel general manager Felix Maina said he was "incredibly excited to join the Crowne Plaza brand and feel it is a good fit for a global hub like JFK."
The property now features distinctive decor inspired by its location with runway murals on lobby ceilings and a modern glass exterior frontage.
This is the first of several Crowne Plaza properties scheduled to open over the next few months in the US, including Fullerton, California and Orlando, Florida.
