New Zealand Agents not happy with code share
New Zealand travel agents say the process to evaluate the code-share agreement between Air New Zealand and Qantas is not transparent.
The proposed deal would see the airlines sharing seats – and some flights cut – on transtasman routes.
But the Travel Agents Association has written to the minister considering the agreement – Pete Hodgson – asking him to refer the application to the Commerce Commission.
Its Chief Executive Paul Yeo says that would ensure the evidence is thoroughly tested.
Yeo says while the Association has yet to decide its stance on the code-share agreement, there is strong opposition among its members.
