New Zealand rated fourth-best place in world to live
International Living, in its international quality of life study says that New Zealand is the fourth-best place in the world to live, ranking New Zealand fourth out of 193 countries, with only France, the Netherlands and Australia rating higher.
The website said New Zealand was “jaw-droppingly beautiful”, had great infrastructure and one of the world’s highest “healthy longevity” figures, adding, “Made famous as the location for The Lord of the Rings movies, its elemental landscapes are so pristine you might have trouble believing they’re for real, even if you see them with your own eyes”.
“Geysers gush, and mud pools bubble, whales spout, dolphins frolic, and surf booms on to sands where yours might be the only footprints. Iced with glaciers, towering mountains range above a landscape veined with rushing rivers.”
The review also said, “On top of all that, New Zealand hides enticing real estate opportunities and you can still find homes and we mean proper houses you can move into for less than $US50,000 ($NZ74,294),” noting though that it was increasingly hard to get full-time residency.
