Newmarket Holidays sees surge in Lapland 2024 bookings
Escorted tours specialist Newmarket Holidays has hailed a big jump in bookings for Lapland Santa Experience Day Trips for in December 2024.
It has seen 300% increase in bookings compared to the same period last year.
The booking spike follows a successful 2023 festive programme, with the operator taking more than 2,500 customers on day trips to the Arctic Circle.
The programme offered flights from 12 UK airports to see Santa in the snow.
After two months of sales, more than one third of availability for the 2024 programme has already been sold.
This is way ahead of the previous year’s figures.
Richard Forde, Head of Trade Sales at Newmarket Holidays says: “With the support of our travel agent network we have already sold three times more than at this point last year.”
Newmarket Holidays’ Lapland day trip takes families to the remote Swedish wilderness of Pajala for activities including reindeer-pulled sleigh rides, husky sleds and snowmobiles rides.
After lunch, families follow a lantern-lit pine forest path to meet Santa in his log cabin.
Numbers for the day trip are strictly limited with just one festive flight arriving at Pajala each day.
The group has exclusive access to Santa’s Village with time to play in the snow.
Newmarket Holidays currently has 10% off Lapland Santa Experience Day Trips in 2024,.
