Nine killed in Bahamas plane crash
A private plane struck a crane killing all nine people on board as it approached Grand Bahama International Airport yesterday.
The leader of Bahamas Faith Ministries, Dr Myles Munroe, and his wife Ruth were among those on board.
The Department of Civil Aviation reported that the plane was a Lear 36 executive jet which departed the Lynden Pindling International Airport (LPIA) for the Grand Bahama International Airport.
It crashed on the approach for landing at Grand Bahama International Airport after hitting a crane at the Grand Bahama ship yard, reports Reuters.
A police source said it was believed the group was heading to a conference hosted by Pastor Munroe.
The Civil Aviation Department said it would launch a full-scale investigation
