Noble adding spas
The dozen Noble House Hotels and Resorts in the US are moving towards the addition of spas, says Liz Johnson, director of travel industry sales.
“Our travelers in our higher end hotels are increasingly requesting spas — both leisure and corporate travelers,” she said.
The Ocean Key Resort in Key West is adding a spa to be completed in October and the Grove Isle property in Miami is adding a spa that should be open in December
Noble House offers various incentives for travel agents, including $100 gift certificates for agents to give clients who book stays of three nights or more.
A newer campaign offers agents $50 rates, depending on availability.
“We work closely with our travel agents. We are still getting a large percentage of our bookings through our agent business,” said Ms Johnson.
One of their premier properties is the La Playa Beach & Golf Resort in Naples, Florida. The property competes with such upscale hotel chains as Ritz-Carlton.
“Our biggest selling point is that we’re directly on the beach,” said Ms Johnson.
The property deliberately prices itself just under the Ritz, she added.
