Norwegian boosts in-flight Wi-Fi with new partnership
Norwegian has signed a new in-flight Wi-Fi partnership.
It makes it the first airline outside North America to launch Anuvu’s new high-speed in-flight Wi-Fi tech.
The partnership will provide fast and reliable Wi-Fi on Norwegian flights.
Norwegian chose Anuvu to enable customers to browse, stream, upload and download from the internet at high speeds.
It says it offers up to twenty times faster speeds than currently available.
The extra bandwidth enables ten times as many customers to access the internet simultaneously without compromising performance.
“We are very excited about this renewed partnership with Anuvu.
Norwegian expects to start rolling out the new solution within the next year.
Having a seamless, stable Wi-Fi experience is critical to many of our customers,” said Christoffer Sundby, CMO at Norwegian.
In 2011, Norwegian was the first airline to offer Wi-Fi on single aisle aircraft in Europe.
Anuvu’s technology will be installed on Norwegian’s new aircraft deliveries and will gradually be rolled out across the fleet.
