Norwegian makes room service charge permanent
Norwegian Cruise Line’s trial program of charging for room service will now be a permanent feature starting May 1.
The $7.95 fee that has been tested on the Breakaway and Getaway ships will be rolled out fleetwide, Norwegian said.
The fee is applicable for all orders except morning coffee and Continental breakfast.
Room service orders will remain free for passengers staying in a suite or The Haven.
The charge was introduced as Norwegian revamps its room service menu fleetwide with more hot breakfast items and more options available 24 hours a day.
Earlier this month the cruise line ended a policy of charging a cover fee for Asian restaurants across the fleet as part of the Norwegian NEXT program.
