Norwegian Cruise Line has unveiled details of its planned expansion to Asia in late 2016.
The line is returning to the region for the first time since 2002 and will deploy the 2,348-passenger Norwegian Star in Singapore and Hong Kong.
Sailings between Singapore and Hong Kong are scheduled in December 2016 and January 2017 calling at ports in in Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam and Taiwan.
The ship will also sail in Australia and New Zealand – departing Sydney and Auckland – on several itineraries before returning to Singapore in spring 2017.
It will initially head to Asia on a 21-day voyage from Dubai in November 2016 which includes its first ever port calls in India.
"We are truly excited to offer these incredible new itineraries to our guests, who now have the opportunity to explore areas of the globe that we haven’t called on in many years and some that we’ve never before visited," said NCL president and COO Andy Stuart.
