Norwegian to halve fares on New York flights
Norwegian has announced plans to launch flights from Edinburgh to New York for less than £60 each way.
The $69 one-way fares will be start in summer 2017, according to the Telegraph.
The fares will be available on the airline’s six new fuel efficient Boeing 737MAX aircraft, which are due to come into operation early this summer.
Norwegian also plans to reduce prices by using secondary airports in New York state, rather than JFK.
Norwegian currently operates flights twice a day from Gatwick to New York starting at £125 each way.
But like other low-cost airlines, it adds on extra charges for hold luggage and seat selection.
